Digital Signage, in its simplest definition, is a subcategory of electronic signage which makes use of LCD, LED, and other digital technologies to display multimedia content. Behind this simple definition, there is a whole world of hardware, software and digital content working together seamlessly. The result is what we see every day on screens installed at train stations, restaurants, airports, retail stores, and more locations providing useful information and/or advertising products and services.

Starting as a simple scrolling text message on a dot matrix display back in the ’80s, digital signage has evolved and grown to become an important part of our everyday lives. From passive systems showing important and updated information on screens to interactive applications allowing customers to order food in a restaurant, digital signage helps in the most diverse scenarios from tourism to public transportation, retail stores to education (schools and universities), and trade shows to corporate applications, just to name a few.

RED-V, which has been in the digital signage market since 2008, today has thousands of managed screens installed throughout Europe and Southeast Asia by hundreds of different customers. The use cases cover all digital signage markets and industries from very small to big customers, proving that RED-V is a true, fully-fledged solution capable of addressing any customer need.
